Program administration,
program development and fundraising are the primary responsibilities of
FOCUS Associate Director Fred Evans. In his thirty-year career in social
work, Mr. Evans has concentrated on program administration/development for
special needs populations, such as the homeless and children and
adolescents on the Autism Spectrum.
Before co-founding FOCUS with
Executive Director Swanson, he was Program Director at Immaculate
Conception Shelter and Housing Corporation in Hartford, CT and Executive
Director at Saint Vincent DePaul Place in Middletown, CT. Mr. Evans
received a BA in Philosophy from Central Connecticut State University and
an MA in Integral Studies/Conscious Evolution from The Graduate Institute
in Bethany, CT. A United States Marine Corps veteran, he served in Vietnam
from 1969-1970.
